Hello all. I'm a 69 year old double above knee amputee. Was diagnosed with Perifular vascular disease in 1994. After many surgeries (single & double femoral, aorta) bypasses, I suffered a stroke in 2002. Lost a kidney also 2002. The surgeries continued but I lost right leg in 2004 (after 3 amputations) . Never got prosthetic, as was to weak and had literally no stump left. In 2008 was diagnosed with cancer. Because my vascular system had undergone such trauma they wanted to put in Porta cath to support Kemo. When they took me off blood thinners for surgery I clotted and lost left leg, again at the top. The trauma from all this somehow caused grand mal seizures, now reduced to tremors. Now I'm diabetic. The upside of all of this is I now plant beautiful flowers every spring, go camping, fishing, went swimming in a lake for the first time in many years this summer. I am animal person with 3 dogs and a parrot. Have large family. And I love my life. I go bowling, play bingo and lead very nice life. There are a few personal issues I'm still trying to deal with. Maybe someone here has found solution. Have a great day all.

Welcome aboard! Sounds like you've been through a lot but also seem to have a wonderful attitude!
