Well, they're certainly interesting-sounding! I have no experience with them, myself...the last time I checked on them, they were only recommended for above-knee or arm amps. They also weren't generally intended for very active folks...and some of the comments at the end of your link indicate that this is still a problem.
A truly functional, adjustable socket is the the dream of just about every amputee out there, and it sounds like there is some progress being made...but I'm personally not sure if they are the best idea for a "band-new" amputee. You're likely to have MAJOR changes in your limb for the first year or two, possibly more than any amount of adjustment available in a socket...learning to manage the socks--at least at first--could be really valuable in your early days.
If anyone here DOES have experience with any of the sockets in your link, I hope they check in here with their personal experience. And if YOU decide to at some point to check them out, I'd be really interested in your experience! Let us know!
