Hello everyone, I have an appointment the 16th to start the process of getting my prosthetic. They said when I seen them the first time "we will have you in 3 days". I'm not sure how long it will take to actually get the prosthetic (it's a BTK) but boy 3 days ..that's been a distant dream for way too long. I've read many threads and have learned a bit from here about things I wasnt aware of. I guess i just wasnt thinking about adjustments and skin sweating/rash/itching. So I am wondering, now that I know about these issues, is there something I should know to ask about while getting "fitted"..? I have been wearing compression socks since the first day I could put one on so for almost 2 years I've been wearing them. I dont suppose that may be of some help with time-of-adjustment period? they (Hanger) said there is a scale they rate folks on ranging from 1 to 4. 1 being a very inactive person to 4 being a person who works out, likes to run..etc. I was rated a 3. I love to (and miss so dearly) walk my dogs, play golf, fish, play pool/darts.etc. and I am a musician of sorts. Play the guitar and drums. Which leads me to my original question I wanted to ask before reading all these threads here. Is there a BTK member here who is a right handed drummer with BTK on right leg. And if so what type of setup have you found that works well with your kick foot?
thanks in advance for any info provided and I'd I posted this in the wrong forum I certainly apologize..
