Is there anyone here who enjoys camping? We have a 32' class C motor home, one year old now. We love camping with it and plan on spending winters in the south now. We have both had enough of Ohio winters!

Not really much of a camper anymore. My wife and I used to camp but when we had a few cold and wet experiences we ventured to the hotels on vacations. King size warm (and dry) bed with room service - just haven't gone back.

I've been a trailer/cabin camper off and on for all my life...with such a nice sounding motor home, I'd think you'd have a really nice set-up there! I also have a number of relatives from Minnesota who definitely enjoy doing the "snowbird" thing!

I should say, though that I do camp when we go out hunting for moose. I don't consider that part of the camping trip as fun as camping in the summer though.... It's usually cold and wet. More cold than wet. I don't like being cold... The nights are long. Usually the sleeping bag is too warm and if you open the zipper a bit whatever gets exposed is super cold.
One thing to remember when camping outside: LINERS FOR YOUR PROSTHESIS SHOULD BE IN THE BAG WITH YOU... holy it sucks when it's cold and you have to get up to pee!

I never camped much as a child, but became a tent camper as a young adult and still love it at age 60! Most recently, between a move from Houston to San Antonio, I put everything in storage and hit the road for 4 months camping in the Texas State Parks system (Oct-Jan). I wouldn't recommend camping in Texas in spring or summer (too much bugs/heat), but fall and winter are very nice. Have never camped in a trailer, but can see how it might make camping in bugs & heat bearable.
