Hello, Ive beena rbk amputee, from trama since 1979. I am 57 now,was 15 when i lost my leg.
I have seen prosthetics advance so much over the decades! I started with a wooden leg with a ptb socket, sach foot, waist belt and thigh corset suspension and wool socks to a ossur carbon fiber foot, titanium pylon, carbon fiber socket and mineral oil gel liners...it has came a long way!
Would like very much to get to know some of you here.
Thank you much for allowing me to share!

Welcome! I'm Eric. I'm a very high left-arm amputee as of 17 years ago, due to necrotizing fasciitis, which is a disease I'm afraid I can't recommend.
This site is pretty quiet -- there's not a lot of posts, day in and day out, but there seem to be half a dozen or so regulars who stop in regularly. It's a good place to find specific amp info, but for just chatting with amputees, there are some face book pages that are definitely more "lit", as my kids would put it!
