Hi folks. I'm Dave from Connecticut, USA and am a recent below the knee amputee. Looking for amputee forums, I came across this one (thanks to Google) and it seems to be not so well traveled. I'm wondering how many members we have and how often people post here. Is it still active?
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave!
Heya - we are here. The participation in the forum comes and goes in spurts. I usually check in on weekdays at least once, more times than not twice per day to see if there's anything happening.
I am a below-the-knee guy, fairly 'seasoned' - it'll be 28 years for me this coming June since I joined the 'some-assembly-required' club.
Is there anything I can do or talk about that will help you in your new 'configuration?'

Hi Dave! I’m here too. So, when did you have your amputation? Mine was 9 months ago. I’m just now, in the last few days, after 7 months, getting a decent and pain-free fit with my prosthesis. If nothing else, I’m learning more about patience.

Hi, Dave. Yeah, activity come & goes in spurts around here. The advantage we have over other forums is the way info is organized by subject matter, and that we don't have an overabundance of off-topic (non-amputee-related) threads like I've seen elsewhere. If you take the self-guided tour, you'll find a great deal of nuggets of wisdom tucked away here and there. Welcome to the forum!
