I was having a sort of bad day, so reading these articles helped me put things back into perspective. The only thing that annoys me is how the able-bodied rush to get prostheses to arm amps, without letting them first figure out that they can function at close to 100% without one (unless they're a double amp). I hate it that we're subtly teaching new arm amputees that they are disabled, when really all they need is to learn different ways of doing things (the one-handed way sans pros versus the two-handed way with one). But they'll eventually figure it out. Disability is a state of mind.

PS-Leg amps, on the other hand, could really benefit from having a pros.
