Hi!
I’m back!
I felt the need to re-connect with this forum, as I’m struggling with what’s happening, and I need to get/give feedback.
I had a YOOGE issue last summer, with a nasty infection, surgery/revision on my stump and 6 weeks in skilled nursing getting IV antibiotics, PICC line and all.
I have a pressure ulcer about 5 mil. in size. Not infected (PTL), but slow in healing. My wife has FREAKED THE FREAK OUT (poor thing—I don’t blame her)!! I found myself plummeting into despondency, thinking that BS like that is what my life will be from here on in.
Anyone relate?

Yikes! To answer your question, no I cannot relate personally, though I've had my own challenges lately that I will have to live with for the rest of my life. So... I guess I CAN relate after all! I think a lot of YOOGE issues could possibly not have advanced to that level had they been caught & treated earlier. Or in my case, I should have realized sooner that I'm no longer young and invincible, and need to be more cautious to avoid missteps. So sorry to hear of your troubles, but glad you found your way back to the forum.

Hi! and excuse my total ignorance, I'm new at this, but what is a YOOGE? Other than that, it sounds like you went through a lot of trauma and "down time" after the revision surgery. I just recently had to undergo a revision of my residuum (BKA) due to the poor surgical skill of the surgeon that performed the initial surgery, a very long story, I won't go into details, but after the revision which was only 2 months ago and even though this surgical team was the dream team, I also spiraled into depression and doubt. Thankfully, I have an amazing mentor who talked me through the ordeal and one thing that he explained is that after a revision it is normal to go through a period where the test socket is not working, you hurt, walk with a limp you didn't have before, and of course that brings the ugly thoughts to the surface. I do not know you personally, but we amputees are a very hardy bunch. We also need to stick together and lend as much support as is possible. It helps if you have a peer or two that have undergone similar experiences. If you want to talk more, please don't hesitate to contact me through this forum, I would be happy to talk to you some more Ruy

I would hate to use that particular individual's grammar, syntax, or anything that could be construed as proper English
