I gave up on the runners leg - too expensive - and started looking for other possibilities. I found Kangoo Jumps and got hold of a pair. They work for me. I really liked that the legs felt balanced - the flesh leg is encased in a ski boot (lightweight) so it has the same range of motion as the prosthesis and both legs bounce the same. It felt even.
It's not really running, it's more hopping from foot to foot (though maybe with practice it will get smoother), but it is a way to get a work-out outside with minimal equipment. And it's fun.
Being able to bounce is fun ;D
Has anyone else seen or used these ?

I take my hat off to you, you are very brave or, very foolhardy. I have just watched a youtube video of Kangoo Jumps. They look awesome. Happy bouncing.

Cherylm - here's the web site: www.kangoojumps.ch/David - I am probably just lucky that I didn't see the video you did! All I do is bounce gently.

OK...I have seen them before. I just didn't realize that they were a commercially available popular phenomenon! They do look like an awful lot of fun! "Bouncing" was one of the few activities I was good at as a kid...I wonder if my "sound" (but surgically rebuilt) foot could tolerate them....hhmmmmmmmmmm.........................................
