I've had a Rampro Activankle for swimming / scuba / snorkelling / kayaking since 2006, and my prosthetist tells me that it needs to be replaced. He is suggesting an LA Ankle (http://www.ortho-europe.com/section3.htm) as an alternative.
The Rampro Activankle has a neoprene cover for keeping sand out of the mechanism, but the LA Ankle doesn't seem to. I haven't been able to find any technical information on the LA Ankle. Does anyone have any experiences they can share? I'm interested in ease of use, ability to clean, durability, etc.
Are there any alternative products we should consider?
