I was designated captain of a tennis team at work for a sort of mini-Olympics held most years for the UN organizations all over the world and we got third place!! (and it was close:-) It was the first time that I've played competitively with the prosthesis and I was really nervous ...that the pros. would come off while playing, that the other team wouldn't give me time on the change-over to dry the stump if necessary, that someone would refuse to play with an amputee... but everything went fine. I played women's doubles with different partners and won all my matches. The funniest thing was that after watching me play, people came up to me to ask what I did to my knee ! Many people didn't realize that the left leg is a prosthesis. I am so chuffed

Congratulations! That's awesome. Proboards should give us a 'Like' button.

Thanks Stonecutter - here's the team getting the medallions - that's me in the red. I am still kind of blown away by the whole thing. Attachments:
