I wore the Spira Volare 3 almost constantly for four days (at the tennis tournament) and had no pain in my hip at night when I lay down. This is very unusual for me, I usually have moderate to severe pain in my hip when lying. I am pretty sure the lack of pain came from the shoes and the extra cushioning they have from the springs under the heel and toe, so I thought I'd share the info. here's a link for more: www.spirafootwear.com/

Which one did U wear when you played tennis? BTW your leg looks as if there are three different lengths? Is there.

I#m not completely sure what you mean with three different lengths, but the prosthesis is just one length - the cosmetic leave a lot to be desired though, could that be what looks like different lengths ?

I do - do you think the pin has to do with the hip pain ? I used to get it before the amputation if I walked on concrete a lot with shoes without much cushioning and now that you mention it, I think I didn't have it when I wore the socket (KBM) prosthesis, but I'm not 100% sure.

I really don't know, but U probably are favoring your other leg more than your good leg... I think that's why MY good leg hurts in the hip area and I use the stan patterson leg. {suction} I am so proud of your tennis games. U have a blessed Easter. PS: I had to stop using the pin system due piston action causing a great deal of pain on the bottom .
