The preceding message was from Proboards. Don't know how many of us are into iPhone apps for discussion forums, but there you have it in case you're interested.

Thanks for passing it on, Stonecutter. Not sure I could ever have an 'app', any more than I could wear a 'pros' on me leg! But there you go, times change, if I don't!

I'm also confused (and "app-less") Allen...were you speaking literally or figuratively??

no, wait, this can't be....I understand Allen ? If he can wear a prosthesis but not a pros this day should go down in history :-)

Oh women, women, you can't all be American and devoid of irony, can you?
Alright, although a quip explained is a quip best ignored.
I disapprove of the use of the abbreviation 'app'. Like most modern reductions, I find it infantile (and utterly unnecessary!) A bit like 'prem' for premature, 'uni' for university, and one I heard the other week at my limb-fitting centre, 'pros' for prosthesis (although that last one was from an Aussie, and they're notorious for such reductions).
Conclusion: I might one day get an application, but if ever I reach for an 'app', just nail me down.
A.

Well, on behalf of the rest of the 60-odd million of us, I apologise; we don't really make fun of anyone, not intentionally..
