Not amputee related, but I got a chuckle out of this one...
This guy is CLEARLY not just enjoying unpolluted air, if you know what I mean. And I think you do.

I grew up in the '60s, Ann, and while I never intentionally ingested what the fellow in the video appears to have, I did have friends who either "indulged" or knew someone who did. His little video-ecstasy-rave was just too much fun to pass up!
Now...I will admit that I believe in the infamous "contact high," because I once had one...and, of all places, it happened at Disneyland! They used to have a jazz festival weekend, and I used to go...at one of the performances, there was an awning over the audience and, when the show began, I swear that at least two-thirds of the audience lit up. By the end of the set, I was merrily (and rather woozily) tripping along with the best of them, simply by breathing their "exhaust!"

Still not amputee-related, but certainly drug-related:
A few days ago a piece on BBC radio in the UK about the Portuguese experiment. Five years ago they decriminalised all drugs, at a stroke. Instead, heroin/cocaine/etc are dispensed only by the state, and only to registered addicts.
So, at a stroke they did away with the cause of much crime (as indeed it is the cause of much crime in all the world), by taking away the stuff the dealers make their money from.
Result? Curiously, a large DROP in cannabis use in Portugal, and a massive drop in crime, both small-scale (addicts trying to pay for a fix) and of course 'mob' level. And Portugal didn't become the 'drug capital of Europe', as had been widely predicted.
The Mob will of course move into something else, but wouldn't it be a better world if all governments (US, UK, Canadian, the lot) followed this brave lead?
Allen.
