Hello all-
I spent yesterday with the Eastern Amputee Golf Association at their "First Swing" clinic near Philadelphia. They filled a driving range with a couple of golf pros, physical therapists, and a prosthetist to see how to adapt each amp (of 17!) to play golf.
By the end of the day I could dependably swat an 8-iron 100 yards, which is enough to make me enjoy a game without looking like a fool. There was one other upperex there who is a way better golfer than I expect to be, but hopefully we can get a round in anyway.
It was a small triumph for me, as I've been off the course since my amp. Wisdom for the day: "The road to healing is paved with steppingstones, not milestones."
