Hi folks and a good day to all. I'll try to keep this short since I have a habit of rambling on in my posts.
A little background first. I've been involved with greyhound rescue since 1992 when I adopted my first ex-racer. Since that time I've had 13 of these magnificent animals of my own in my home. I currently have one hound that I adopted in 2011, named Oshkosh Tonto. Thus my screen name "greyhnd".
Today, I took delivery of a beautiful 3.5 yr old red female named Touch, aka Joe's Canttouch. She's been adopted by a very nice family, but they aren't ready for her to come home yet. So......she'll be spending about a month here with Tonto and I getting used to life away from the track. I get a lot of joy from helping the dogs make the transition from racer to pet. She has already discovered the mirror on my bathroom door and is fascinated by that "other dog" looking back at her. I'm always nervous about letting the foster dogs go, but her new family already has two greyhounds in residence so it should be an easy transition.
That's my feel good story for today.
Marc (greyhnd)

That's nice! My niece has a rescued greyhound and is completely in love with him.

Marc (greyhnd) That's a very good thing that you are doing... I'd love to see some photos of your pooches!
