Hello all.
Ive been an arm amp for 25 years. I would be happy to help others. However I'm looking for a bit of advise myself. Nearly 6 weeks ago I broke my right arm (which is the arm that I tore off, put back on then lost the hand). I went over my snowboard and broke the arm. Nearly 6 weeks on and the arm is good and out of the sling, but I'm getting massive swelling in the stump.
My question is. Is this normal for arm amps

Hey there, tech...
Welcome aboard!
I'm not an arm amp (although there are arm amps on here, so maybe they'll have some insight for you...), but did you require surgery when you broke it?

Hi. I didn't need surgery as it was on the neck of the ball joint. As my arm doesn't do much they didn't want to plaster it. However they plaster those sort of break.

So I too am not an arm amputee techreaper, but I am a nurse and can imagine that swelling in the first 6 - 8 weeks would be within normal parameters. I am thinking too that it probably is a difficult one to elevate and ice pack etc etc...? Are you using any anti inflammatories?

Hey, techreaper, welcome to the forum. Although I've been an arm amp for > 40 years, I can't offer any advice as I have no residual limb. What does your orthopedic surgeon say?
