I lost first leg high level femur in 1970s and now lose the other one which has become useless and thrown me into wheelchair with lots of pain too. I have found this is by far the worse situation as I am governed by leg pain if moving rather than what I wish to do, (which is flying). I cannot fly or drive due to pain cover which leaves me 'gaga' at times.
So I shortly lose second and will eventually be pain free for the first time in ten years. I look forward to that and the mobility freedom affarded but am not looking forward to the operation. At 67, even if fit, which I am, it is more dangerous than cutting toe nails.
