Today is exactly 19 1/2 years since the day of my amputation.
The reason why this is significant is that this is the apex for me when it comes to being an amputee. The date of my amputation was on my half birthday. I was exactly 19 1/2 years old. So as of the end of the day I will have been an amputee longer than I was a bi-ped.

Funny how some things stick in the memory!
I couldn't tell you that precisely when I last saw my left foot (2005), but I can almost tell to the minute when I had my last drink (6th December 2002, about 1025pm).
You can tell a true alcoholic by how precise he(she) is about how long it is since they(we) had a drink...
Oh, and a Happy Christmas to you too.
