Hi all! I'm pretty new to this and need a little bit of advice if any of you kind people could spend a minute to read this . At the moment I'm going through a really bad time, I'm ongoing tests for crohns, I'm constantly run down which is resulting the abscesses where the top of my leg stops in the groin area, also the whole of my stumped leg is red raw and so very itchy and I just don't know what else to do, I take baths with dry skin bath lotion, I smother my leg in sudocreme, I've also tried e45 and hydromol ointment. Any advice would be very much appreciated! Nicole :-)

Nicole, I took the time to research your complaint and find your symptoms incongruous to Crohnes disease. I suggest it may be neurological or perhaps some form of dermatitis. Maybe even an allergic reaction? I don't suggest trying any over the counter drugs like Benadryl as this will aggravate your fatigue. I'm puzzled and I don't like to be puzzled so please keep us informed of your progress. Please be very careful to treat any skin infections promptly. Good luck.

He's not kidding. I wore a ripped liner and got an infection in my stump tip, next day I was in ER for 10 days with cellulitis and still healing from it. That junk tried to kill me. I would say stop using ointments and lotions, soak with epsom salt in a hot bath until your good and pruned and see if that helps, elevation and compression with an ace bandage helps me right now too. I had to take IV and oral antibiotics, so if you see any red streaking go to the ER right away. Hope you feel better.
