When it opened in 2010, Morgan’s Wonderland became the world’s first theme park designed with special-needs individuals in mind and built for everyone’s enjoyment. The completely wheelchair-accessible park features more than 25 elements including rides, playgrounds and other colorful attractions. Anyone with a special need is admitted free of charge, no questions asked; there is a nominal charge for the non-disabled. Morgan’s Inspiration Island, the world’s first all-inclusive splash park, opened in the spring of 2017 right next to Morgan's Wonderland. Like Morgan’s Wonderland, the new park is ultra-accessible and features tropically themed aquatic elements that everyone can enjoy. URL: www.morganswonderland.com/

I recently visited Morgan's Wonderland for the first time. It's smaller than the big-name theme parks*, but the rides/activities are the same--with the exception that EVERYTHING in the park has been modified to be accessible by folks with just about any kind of disability, physical or mental. However, the non-disabled (especially children) would also have loads of fun and probably not even notice the modifications that make MW so special. It was heartwarming to see the number of disabled folks they have on staff (severely disabled staff are paired with a non-disabled team member).
This is an idea that needs to be replicated all over the world! Morgan's Wonderland receives most of its funding from corporate donors, which are acknowledged by modest signs, i.e. "This ride sponsored by Toyota."

*You could still spend the better part of a day there--the whole day if you also visited their water park.

Excellent idea, and it looks like it could be a lot of fun...especially if you had a kid or two in tow!
