I am considering amputation, BK, and would like to know if anyone rides horses and/or motorcycles. Both are important to me, and I plan on continuing to do both activities. Thanks in advance, AmyJ

Thank you for the links! Lots of information there. Its daunting to consider amputation as an elective procedure. I see wound care on Monday, and plan to make my decision known at that time. I am talking to everyone about it, trying to get used to the idea. I appreciate you all being available! AmyJ

Hi, amyj and welcome! I have no personal experience with horses or motorcycles since my amputation...but I have amp-friends who are farmers (including driving tractors, riding horses, repairing fences, etc.), along with one who is heavily into motorcycles (and who got me a ticket to see him compete in the X-Games). If you want to do something and there's nothing especially "out of the ordinary" about your amputation, there's an excellent chance that you'll find a way to be able to do it.

Take a look at the company Biodapt. I've worked with the owner in the past and can vouch for the phenomenal quality. Best of luck!
