I'm not sure how to go about it but I'm in search of a left, single cable, voluntary opening, hand. I was quoted an astronomical price to update the harness, cabling, and get the hand for my body powered, hinged, arm prosthesis. In truth the harness and cabling aren't too bad. The harness just needs some adjusting. I am wanting a hand for asthetic purposes. The multipurpose hook terminal device that came with it can be a little intimidating in mixed company. Is there any way that anyone knows of to get the hand or other terminal devices/parts for prostheses other than ordering new through a prothesist using insurance? Deductibles are a B. I'm not too worried about the condition of the sleeve, those aren't too bad to get ordered new, but I'm really wanting a hand. Any help and guidance would be appreciated.

You're welcome, Tyler, and if you're anywhere near Texas, consider joining us for the Olney Amputee Dove Hunt this year Sept 8-10, 2017. This event was formerly called the One Arm Dove Hunt, and attracts mostly male arm amputees and their families. There's no fee to attend the event (which includes meals), but you'll have to pay for your own transportation and lodging. You could network with other arm amputees and maybe find someone who has an extra hand pros lying around!

Thank you. It looks like a lot of fun. I don't think I'll be able to get there this year but I'll keep it in mind for next.
