So two days ago I over balanced and fell, instead of tucking and rolling like an idiot I stuck out my stump and came down directly on it, needless to say it was extremely painful. After a couple of days it's still sore but no outward signs of damage apart from a little swelling, how long do these type of injuries take to heal so I can start wearing my leg again?

Well, first off you need to wait on the swelling going down. You really should check in with a doctor and/or your prosthetist just to make sure that there's no underlying injury as well.
If you want to try and speed up your recovery time, try keeping your limb elevated and wrapped for a few days. And when you do go back to wearing your leg, take it VERY easy at first. Do NOT wear your leg to the point of pain...if it hurts. take it off at once.
Sorry....sometimes you just have to be patient...................
