Hey, The World Championships of indoor rowing (on Concept II ergs) is being held in Boston on Feb 14. For the first time ever there will be an adaptive category and the paralympic rowing coach will be there.
I am going to meet the athletes and the coach. I barely know anyone who's a BKA so I am psyched to go.
If you're in Boston and you've ever wanted to row, come on and meet people who are successfully doing it. The races are starting around 12-1, something like that.

Hi, obviously the event you speak of has already lapsed, however I thought I'd try to raise a bit of a discussion with amputees as to how they manage with an indoor rower.
I personally decided to purchase one of the concept 2 rowers and can honestly say it was money well spent. I'm an above knee amp and use the rower without prosthesis. I'm not sure as to what the different paralympic classifications are but find I manage very well without wearing my prosthesis.
Please post to detail how you get on with the indoor rower.
Regards,
Woffa.
